
David C. Pelton, 63, died suddenly on October 22, 2011.
He was born on May 4, 1948 in Lorain, Ohio. David was a lifelong resident of Lorain County. He was a 1966 graduate of Admiral King High School and 1970 graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity.
David taught high school science for 30 years at Admiral King, Brookside, and spent the majority of his career and retired from Keystone High School. Besides teaching, David also coached football, basketball, golf and was the athletic director at Keystone High School during his career. He coached his son's and daughters' basketball teams for many years.

After retirement, he enjoyed spending time every day with his granddaughter, Ella, who he continued to teach every day. He also loved to garden, golf, cook and play poker.
David was preceded in death by his son, Guy David Pelton, in 1997, his father Charles Pelton, and his grandparents, Joseph and Anna Sylak.

Family will recieve friends Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at , Â 36363 Detroit Rd., where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. He will be interred at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
