Avon-Avon Lake Rivalry Football Game Could Snarl Traffic
Friday night football is back! Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m. but the game could mean traffic delays.
AVON, OH — Avon and Avon Lake high schools will play their annual rivalry football game on Friday. Besides generating grid iron pride, the game could also snarl traffic in the area surrounding stadium.
"Traffic will be heavy and there will be delays on Stoney Ridge Road, near the Early Learning Center," Avon police said on social media. "Plan ahead and avoid the area if you do not have to travel this way."
Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m. Police said parking spots near the stadium will go quickly. If fans are unable to arrive early, they should plan on parking at an alternative lot, as shown on this map.
