Avon Homecoming Week Details: When Is The Parade, Football Game?

Get ready to show your community pride. The Avon Eagles will take on Westlake High in the annual Homecoming football game.

AVON, OH — Avon's Homecoming festivities will start September 30 and will include a parade, a football game against Westlake and the naming of the Homecoming court. The week will culminate with a dance for students at Avon High School.

Homecoming spirit week runs September 30 to October 4, with schools setting themes for each days. The community will get involved and show their pride on October 3 when the annual Homecoming Parade marches through the city.

The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. at Avon High School and travel east to the Early Learning Center and stadium on Stoney Ridge Road. A community pep rally and the annual Avon High School Powder Puff Football game will be held after the parade.

On October 4, Avon High (3-0) will play Westlake (0-3) in the Homecoming game. The Homecoming King and Queen will crowned at 6:20 p.m. Kick-off for the game is at 7 p.m.

The next day, on October 5, the annual Homecoming dance will be held at Avon High School. This year's dance has an Alice in Wonderland theme.
