Avon Lake Police Creating Home Surveillance Camera Catalog

Police said residents can volunteer to provide video footage to officers to help with future criminal investigations.

AVON LAKE, OH — Avon Lake police are creating a catalog of home security systems with video capabilities, to aid with future criminal investigations.

Residents interested in voluntarily providing their camera footage to Avon Lake police can send a simple email to alpd_db@avonlakepolice.org. The email should include your name, your street address, a phone number, and what type of video system you have.

Ring cameras, Blink cameras and other surveillance systems with video capabilities are acceptable.

"In the past citizens have provided officers valuable footage that has aided in investigations and prosecution. Citizen participation is totally voluntary. Any cooperation would be greatly appreciated," Avon Lake police said.
