Avon Lake Student Wins the 2013 Hunter/Jumper Jr. Medal Championship

Mercede Marcolongo won the 2013 Hunter Jumper Jr. Medal Championship. The Avon Lake High School Junior competed on Sept.  29 at Buckeye Horse Park in the combined 2’3-2’6 Hunter Jumper Division Top Ten open medal riders.

This event was culmination of a winning Up and Over and OPHA show season for Marcolongo and her horse, Christmas Eve.

Marcolongo boards and trains at Holly Hill Farm in Avon Lake under the direction of Hollie Anzenberger and Lisa Byrom. Marcolongo also trained this summer in Bolzum, Niedersachsen, Germany under the direction of German trainer, Monika Arnold.
