"Thank you for your continued support of Avon Lake Students and the Avon Lake Schools," said Avon Lake City Superintendent Bob Scott in a statement. "Having the funds to maintain our facilities appropriately... helps us avoid or put off the higher costs of replacement due to age and wear and tear."

The Avon Lake City School District levy has been renewed since 1986. Revenue from the levy since then has gone to bus replacement, infrastructure repairs, new classroom furnishings, upgraded fire panels, enhancements to athletic fields, tree trimming and external and internal security cameras.
