Baby Bald Eagles Born In Avon Lake On Easter
Two longtime Avon Lake residents, Stars and Stripes, saw one of their babies hatch on Sunday.

UPDATE: A second eaglet hatched Monday morning. There is now one unhatched egg in the nest.
AVON LAKE, OH — Avon Lake welcomed its newest resident on Easter Sunday — a baby bald eagle.
Two bald eagles, named Stars and Stripes, have long nested in a tree outside of Redwood Elementary School. Students at the school created a livestream using multiple cameras so bird enthusiasts could watch the eagles day or night.

During Stars and Stripes time in Avon Lake, they've welcomed several eaglets and on Sunday their newest baby hatched. The baby bald eagle could soon be joined by two siblings and when all of the eggs have hatched, students at Redwood will hold a naming contest.
