Baby Eagle Watch: Third Egg In Nest In Avon Lake
A live video camera watches the eagle's nest 24-hours a day. That means you can see eaglets hatching out of eggs, learning to fly and more.
AVON LAKE, OH — A third eagle egg has been laid in a nest near Redwood Elementary. The school runs a 24-hour live stream that watches the nest. The first egg was laid during the last full week of February.
The nest has hatched half a dozen or so baby eagles over the past three years. Adult eagles, named Stars & Stripes by the students at Redwood, have parented each set of eggs.
Eagles usually lay eggs in groupings of about two to three. The eggs are laid two to three days apart. That means more eggs could be coming this week.
