Baby Eagles Thriving In Avon Lake [Video]
A live stream of the eaglets' nest even captured a family feeding session.
AVON LAKE, OH — Three baby bald eagles are thriving in a nest in Avon Lake. The eaglets have hatched from their eggs and are gradually gaining the distinctive look of their parents, Stars and Stripes. A surveillance camera near the nest captured a feeding session, with the three eaglets getting a meal courtesy of their parents.
The family of bald eagles are live streamed by Redwood Elementary, a school in Avon Lake. After three eggs appeared in the nest earlier this year, all three baby eagles emerged from their shells by early April and are now being fed and taken care of by their parents.
Approximately half a dozen or so baby eagles have been hatched in the nest over the past three years. Adult bald eagles, named Stars & Stripes by the students at Redwood, have parented each set of eggs.
