Beer Truck Strikes Car, House In Avon Lake; One Injured
The driver of a sedan was also cited for failing to yield right of way.

AVON LAKE, OH — One person was injured and another was given a citation after a Friday crash sent a Budweiser beer delivery truck crashing through the exterior walls of a home in Avon Lake.
The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. in the 120 block of Lear Road. According to police, the crash began when a sedan pulled out in front of the beer truck, which was headed northbound on Lear Road.
The truck struck the sedan before veering off the roadway and into the side of the home.

The sedan, the beer truck and the home were damaged in the crash, police said. The driver of the sedan was given a citation for failing to yield right of way, and the truck driver was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.
