Burglary In Avon Lake, Police Searching For Stolen Gun

AVON LAKE, OH — Someone broke into an Avon Lake home and stole a gun, police announced.

On Jan. 9, an alarm was tripped at a home on Bounty Way. When police got to the house, they discovered a sliding glass door had been shattered.

Police searched the home, but found no one inside.

Officers then contacted the homeowner and told him what had happened. The owner came home, searched his house and discovered Sig Sauer firearm had been stolen.

A repair company agreed to come out and secure the back sliding door for the resident, police said.
