Cavaliers Pick Avon Lake Student For On-Court Appearance

Fourth grade student Izzy Wilson will present the game ball to Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat team captains.

AVON LAKE, OH — On Friday, Westview Elementary fourth-grader Izzy Wilson will be on the court at the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball game.

Wilson, 10, was selected as a Cavs All-Star Kid. She was surprised, in class, on Friday by Sir CC and Cavs announced Ahmaad Crump. They posed for photographs with Wilson.

On Friday, Wilson will be honored before the game and given the game ball to present to the team captains from the Cavaliers and the visiting Miami Heat. Wilson also got four tickets to the game and a pizza party for her class.

The Cavs All-Star Kids program recognizes students, K-12, in Northeast Ohio who are setting a positive example for their peers. Wilson was nominated by Westview Elementary School Principal Nick Moore.

Moore said Wilson serves as Westview Student Council President, and is a member of the school's Safety Patrol and K-Kids. He said she is a great helper at the school.
