Chester Road Construction Starts Monday In Avon

Part of the street will only be open to one-way traffic. Police have asked residents to avoid the area, if they can.

AVON, OH — Construction on Chester Road will start on Monday, the city of Avon announced on social media. Officials are hoping work on the project will be largely completed before the end of the year.

Crews will be widening Chester between State Route 83 and American Way. West of Traveler's Point, on Chester, traffic will only be maintained in one direction, westbound. Eastbound travel will be closed.

Detour routes will be posted near the construction zone. Police officers may also help guide traffic through and around the area. Drivers are being asked to consider using alternate routes to avoid the impacted stretch of Chester.
