Christmas Tree Collection Starts In January In Avon Lake

The city will collect all the blue spruces and other trees during the first two weeks of January.

AVON LAKE, OH — Hold on to the Scotch pine or Canaan fir because the city will start collecting Christmas tree during the first two full weeks of January. Trees that are larger than six feet tall will need to be chopped in half before crews can remove them.

Trees can be left at the curb on regular collection days. Residents are asked to make sure all ornaments and lights have been stripped off the tree.
