College Baseball Tournament Comes To Avon In May

AVON, OH — The Mid-American Conference's 2019 Baseball Tournament will be played in Avon.

The tournament between the NCAA Division I conference's top teams — including universities like Central Michigan, Ball State, and Kent State — will be held at Sprenger Stadium. Play will be held May 22 through May 26.

The tournament is held in Northeast Ohio annually, according to MAC officials. Each tournament generates around $360,000 in economic activity, the officials added.

Based on MAC standings, the current seeding would be:

1. Central Michigan — 19-5
2. Ball State — 17-5
3. Miami — 15-8
4. Kent State — 14-8
5. Northern Illinois — 13-11
6. Ohio University — 10-11

The first game of the tournament will be played May 22 at 12:30 p.m. For fans that can't make it into the stadium, all of the tournament games will be streamed live on the ESPN+ app.

Tickets for the games are available in a variety of packages and at a variety of prices. Children 3 and under are always free.
