Congratulations, James Kirk Barnes, Avon Lake High School Class Of 2021
Before this year's graduates head on to that next step in their lives, we want to take a moment to let their stars shine here on Patch.
AVON-AVON LAKE, OH — The high school seniors of 2021 have had an experience like no other in a century -- a year upended by a pandemic and by lockdowns that kept them from enjoying many of the activities that previous seniors have taken for granted.
Patch hopes to help make it up to those seniors by giving them a special sendoff. We asked parents and other family members pay tribute to this year’s grads using a special submission form so we can publish those tributes one by one.
James Kirk Barnes will graduate from Avon Lake High Dchool.

Plans after graduation: Kirk will attend Kent State University where he will major in computer design.

Accomplishments: While in high school Kirk played hockey with the Arapahoe Warriors and enjoyed being a member of the ALHS Art club. He will graduate with a community service cord and an Academic Excellence award.
Special message: Kirk, We are so very proud of you. As you begin the next chapter at Kent, remember how much we love and support you. College will be one of your greatest adventures. Love, Mom, Dad and Jess .
