COVID-19 Threat Downgraded In Lorain County

Lorain County is no longer "purple," according to the Ohio Department of Health.

AVON, OH — Lorain County is no longer purple, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

The state's color-coded COVID-19 classification system tagged Lorain County as purple on Nov. 25 and remained purple until Thursday. Purple is the worst color a county can receive under the system and means there is "severe exposure and spread locally."

Lorain County has been downgraded to red. While "red" is still a bad designation, it's less ignominious than purple.
