Damaged Car Stopped In Avon Lake, Driver Arrested: Blotter

Avon Lake police stopped a badly damaged car as it motored through the city. The driver was found to be drunk, police said.

AVON LAKE, OH — Police stopped a badly damaged car that was driving on Avon Belden Road last week. The driver was drunk, police said, and the car had to be towed off the road.

Traffic complaint, April 7 — A car was stopped on Lake Road for driving with fake license plates. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed.

Operating a vehicle impaired, April 7 — Police stopped a car on Avon Belden Road because it had heavy damage on its front end. Officers spoke to the driver and determined he was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and the car towed.

Operating a vehicle impaired, April 11 — Callers reported a car swerving in and out of traffic on Lake Road. Police found the car, stopped it and determined the driver had been smoking marijuana, police reports said. The driver was arrested and his car towed.
