Driver Passes Out In Taco Bell Drive-Thru: Avon Lake Police

Officers took the man into custody and had his car towed from the scene, according to records.

AVON LAKE, OH — An Avon Lake man passed out in the drive-thru of Taco Bell, according to police reports.

At 3 a.m. on Feb. 20, callers reported that a man appeared to be sleeping in the driver's seat of a car at the fast food restaurant. When officers arrived, they determined the man was intoxicated and took him into custody.

The man's car was towed out of the drive-thru, police said.

The driver made his first appearance in court on Tuesday. He pleaded not guilty to charges of operating a vehicle impaired. The case will move to pre-trial in mid-March, according to the Avon Lake Municipal Court docket.
