Electric Boulevard Intersection To Close Thursday

Avon Lake Regional Water said crews will be doing work related to the Curtis Rehabilitation Project.

AVON LAKE, OH — Crews will be working on the Electric Boulevard-Curtis Drive intersection this week. That intersection will be closed starting Thursday morning, but should be re-opened by Thursday evening.

The intersection will be shut down to allow crews to install storm laterals, related to the Curtis Rehabilitation Project. The workers will need to cross through the intersection, prompting the intersection to be closed down, an Avon Lake Regional Water representative said to Path.

Drivers that make use of the intersection will be detoured from Belmar to Lake Road to Moorewood. Signs will be posted at Belmar and Moorewood, Avon Lake Regional Water said.

Residents that live on Electric Boulevard, or streets off Electric within the detour route, will still have access to their streets.

The Curtis Rehabilitation Project started in May 2018 and will last for about six months. The project will reduce the possibility of breaks to the system, the amount of storm water runoff entering the snaitary sewer and the amount of untreated wastewater discharged into Lake Erie, Avon Lake Regional Water said.
