Electric Boulevard Intersection To Close This Week
The intersection should be re-opened by Thursday or Friday, an Avon Lake Regional Water representative told Patch.

AVON LAKE, OH — Crews will close down the Electric Boulevard-Curtis Drive intersection Tuesday, Wednesday and possibly Thursday this week. Avon Lake Regional Water said the work is related to the Curtis Drive Rehabilitation Project.
The intersection may only be closed for part of Thursday, an Avon Lake Regional Water representative told Patch. Residents that live on Electric, or connected streets, will still have local access.
The detour for the intersection will be Belmar to Lake Road to Moorewood and reverse. Signs noting the detour will be posted on both Belmar and Moorewood.

The Electric-Curtis intersection was temporarily closed in late July and early August so crews could install storm laterals.
The Curtis Rehabilitation Project started in May 2018 and will last for about six months. The project will reduce the possibility of breaks to the system, the amount of storm water runoff entering the snaitary sewer and the amount of untreated wastewater discharged into Lake Erie, Avon Lake Regional Water said.
