Great Avon Bike Parade Starts Cycling July 3

Looking for a fun way to get active on 4th of July weekend? Look no further.

AVON, OH — The Great Avon Bike Parade will be held July 3.

The 4th of July-themed event will start and end at the Avon Aquatic Center, 36265 Detroit Road. Cyclists will begin peddling at 10 a.m.

The route is approximately one-mile long and will proceed along Healthway Drive. Spectators can gather on Healthway to watch the parade. Avon police and firefighters will provide a special escort for the procession.

Riders are encouraged to decorate their bicycles, wagons, strollers or other rolling devices before riding through the route.

The parade is open to people of all ages and abilities. Attendees will receive one complimentary pool admission, valid through the end of the 2021 season. There will also be cool treats for guests to enjoy.

Current forecasts predict Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with a 30-percent chance of rain. The high for the day is projected to be 77 degrees.
