Harmony Circle Added To Avon Playground
A ribbon cutting will be held Saturday, July 21 with Mayor Bryan Jensen and the Avon Lions Club.

AVON, OH — Every Child's Playground will officially add another piece to its play area on Saturday, July 21. Mayor Bryan Jensen and the Avon Lions Club will hold an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. that morning for the Harmony Circle, a musical exploration set.
The Every Child's park is designed to be accessible to all children, regardless of ability. The city said in a statement that it hopes the park will create a meaningful play opportunity for all children.
After the ribbon cutting, there will be an opportunity for attendees to try out the new equipment, enjoy light refreshments and children will get a free gift (while supplies last). The event will be fun for the whole family.

The Avon Lions Club donated the "Harmony Circle" to the playground. The Harmony Circle includes six musical instruments that will be installed at the playground. The brochure for the circle says, "Music is Joy…Joy that can be heard and felt, whether it is bold or subtle, composed or random. Musical instruments offer a unique way for kids and adults to be creative and express themselves both physically and emotionally."
"The Avon Lions Club has done so many great things for our city over the years. This is just another example of the many ways they make our city a better place," said Mayor Bryan Jensen in a statement when the addition of the circle was first announced. "I am very excited to work with them on this project. Children of all abilities and needs will be able to enjoy these musical instruments at our park."
