I-90 In Avon Will Undergo Construction Next Week

Noise barriers are being installed along part of I-90 east, which will close one lane overnight.

AVON, OH — Construction on part of I-90 will begin Monday, the city announced. Crews will be installing noise wall panels between SR 611 and SR 83, going east.

The panels will help reduce noise coming off the highway. Crews will be working mostly overnight.

The eastbound driving lane on I-90 will be closed Monday, October 8, through Saturday, October 13 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic will be maintained in the center and passing lane.

As with all construction zones, commuters should expect delays along the highway during the work. Drivers may want to consider an alternate route while installation takes place.
