WASHINGTON, D.C. — More than $60 million will be directed to Lorain County through the American Rescue Plan, Rep. Marcy Kaptur announced Wednesday.

“The American Rescue Plan will provide vitally needed support for Northern Ohio families, communities, essential workers, and small businesses,” Kaptur said. “I fought for the inclusion of direct support to Northern Ohio cities and municipalities like Lorain County."

The American Rescue Plan also funds the formation of a national vaccination program, setting up community vaccination sites nationwide. The federal government is funding the upcoming mass vaccination clinic at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland.

The legislation also increases testing and tracing, shortages of personal protective equipment and other supplies.
