Moore Road To Be Closed In Avon Lake For 6 Months

AVON LAKE, OH — Part of Moore Road will be closed in Avon Lake for six months, the city announced on its website. The road should be re-opened by January 2020, the city estimated.

The city said a culvert is being replaced allowing Powdermaker Creek to flow under Moore. Lorain County and the city's engineering firm are working together on a culvert design to move the project along quickly.

The closure will affect approximately 50 feet of Moore Road. No driveways will be blocked, the city said, so all businesses will be accessible throughout the closure.
