Musical Circle To Be Added To Avon Park

The Avon Lions Club will pay for a Harmony Circle at the city's Every Child's Playground.

AVON, OH — The Avon Lions Club will purchase the Harmony Circle at the Every Child's Playground, the club announced on Monday. Dave Moibroek from the Lions Club presented the commitment to purchase the circle at the Jan. 22 Avon Lake City Council meeting.

The Harmony Circle includes six musical instruments that will be installed at the playground. The brochure for the circle says, "Music is Joy…Joy that can be heard and felt, whether it is bold or subtle, composed or random. Musical instruments offer a unique way for kids and adults to be creative andexpress themselves both physically and emotionally.”

The Every Child's Playground had a special groundbreaking ceremony on May 31, 2017. The park is the result of a collaboration between the city, French Creek Foundation, Flavorseal, the Lorain Public Library System, and the Christian Heritage Church.
