Nagel Road Construction Starts Thursday In Avon
Crews will be expanding Nagel Road to three lanes, but will restrict traffic flow during the project.
AVON, OH — Work on the Nagel Road widening project will start Thursday in Avon.
The city said two-way traffic will be maintained between Detroit Road and the Drug Mart driveway. North of the Drug Mart driveway, traffic will only be able to move south. Northbound traffic will be closed.
Detour routes will be posted near Nagel Road. Depending on the phase of construction, police officers may also be directing traffic.

Driveway access along Nagel will be maintained, the city said, but could be limited at times. Signs and barricades will be set up around the work areas.
Crews will be expanding Nagel Road to three lanes, from two, and then resurfacing the street. KMU Trucking & Excavating will be handling the project.

The city estimates that construction will be completed by December 1, 2019.
