Narcan Given To Overdosing Man In Avon Lake
Police found the man inside a home overdosing.
AVON LAKE, OH — Officers gave a man Narcan to save him from dying during a drug overdose, a police report said.
On Monday morning, police were called to a home near Bicentennial Park. When they arrived, they found a 23-year-old man overdosing.
Avon Lake police and firefighters arrived at the home simultaneously. They gave the 23-year-old Narcan — an anti-overdose drug used mostly in response to opioids — to revive him.

The 23-year-old regained consciousness and was examined by EMS. He was medically cleared and did not want to be taken to a hospital, according to the police report.
