New Art Exhibit Will Support Lorain County Art Endowment

The show runs May 31 through June 20.

From Community Foundation Lorain County: Art lovers can own a piece of original art and at the same time contribute to a permanent endowment for the arts in Lorain County. The Community Foundation of Lorain County will host LUSH ~ An Exhibition and Sale of Original Works by Master Printmaker David C. Jansheski in the Beth K. Stocker Art Gallery at Lorain County Community College. The show runs May 31 through June 20, 2018.

A former resident of Avon Lake, David Jansheski was an internationally recognized professional artist for over 25 years. Highlights of this art show include mixed-media prints, relief prints, and his signature “Kite” piece. Before David's death in December of 2014 he donated his estate, including a collection of his personal works, to create an arts endowment at the Community Foundation of Lorain County. Proceeds from the sale of the artwork grow this endowment, permanently supporting the arts in Lorain County.

The Beth K. Stocker Art Gallery is open during events at Stocker Arts Center and by appointment by calling (440) 366-4140. An artists’ reception will be held on Thursday, May 31, from 4-7 p.m. The exhibit will also be open the evening of July 11, 2018, for the Best of Lorain County event presented by Pulse Magazine. All exhibitions and receptions are free and open to the public.
