Seasonal Workers Needed In Avon Lake
The city is looking to hire staff to fill a variety of seasonal fall positions.
AVON LAKE, OH — While jobless claims in Ohio are down, many Ohioans are still looking for work. Avon Lake residents looking for work may be able to find a temporary job with the city.
The city of Avon Lake is hiring seasonal workers for the fall season. The part-time, temporary positions include landscaping, leaf collection, trash and tree limb collection, restroom cleaning and maintenance and other duties as assigned.
Seasonal staff will work Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with occasional weekend hours. Prior experience is helpful, but not required, city officials said. Applicants must have a valid driver's license.

Seasonal position pay $12 to $14 per hour. Applicants will be required to pass a background and drug test. Each position will last approximately 90, ending on Dec. 31, 2020.
Students and Northeast Ohioans looking for a flexible work schedule are encouraged to apply, city officials said.

All municipal jobs are open to anyone, not only Avon Lake residents.
