Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Lorain County
The National Weather Service said wind gusts could hit 60 mph on Sunday evening.
LORAIN, OH — A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Lorain County on Sunday evening. Wind gusts could hit 60 mph and hail could fall in parts of the county, the National Weather Service said.
The storm should begin to calm by 6 p.m., the agency said. Rain showers, and even a light snow, could fall overnight. Additionally, with potent wind blowing through the region, power could be knocked out for portions of the county.
Just before 5 p.m., "severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Sandusky to near New London, moving east at 40 mph," the National Weather Service said.
