Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Lorain County On Friday

AVON, OH — A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for central Lorain County on Friday, the National Weather Service warned.

"Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways," the National Weather Service said.

According to the National Weather Service, 60 mph winds accompany the torrential rain. Residents should expect damage to power lines and trees.

Lorain County residents have been asked to move to a central room on the lowest floor of their house.

The storm should subside by 1 p.m.
