Snow Possible In Avon, Avon Lake On Thursday
After a 75 degree start to the week, snow could hit Lorain County on Thursday night.
AVON, OH — After hitting 75 degrees on Tuesday, the weather in Northeast Ohio will quickly turn chilly.
Snow is expected to fall between noon on Thursday and 2 a.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service forecasts. There's little chance of significant accumulation, with less than 2 inches of snow expected to fall over the course of the day.
There is currently a 60 percent chance of snow on Thursday in Lorain County, the National Weather Service said. Further east, in Geauga and Erie counties, snow is a near certainty, with up to 4 inches of snow expected to fall.

"This will be a wet snowfall with the greatest accumulations expected on grassy and elevated surfaces," the National Weather Service said.
Overnight, expect temperatures to drop into the mid-20s. That means temperatures will have dropped nearly 50 degrees in two short days.

The snow and cold shouldn't hang around Lorain County for long. Friday's projected high is a chilly 41, but Saturday's high should be in the mid-50s. By Monday, Ohio should be seeing 60 degree temperatures again.
