Tree Lighting Festival Is Saturday In Avon

The free, family-friendly event will include appearances by Santa Claus and Elsa from "Frozen," among others.

AVON, OH — The annual Tree Lighting Festival will be held December 1. The free event will feature live music, refreshments, and visits from some very special guests (including Santa Claus himself).

The event starts at 3:30 p.m. and runs until 7:30 p.m. The Festival is held in Olde Avon Village, 36840 Detroit Road. Overflow parking lots will be open at the Avon Aquatic Facility, 36265 Detroit Road. Shuttles will bus attendees from the overflow lots to the Festival.

Anna and Elsa from "Frozen" will help kick-off the annual event at 3:30 p.m. Santa arrives at 5 p.m., with live reindeer. Music and entertainment, and hot chocolate, pizza, and treats will be available all day.

The actual tree lighting will be done at 5:15 p.m. The Avon School Choir will then perform on the DJ Stage.
