Waterlines To Be Replaced In Avon Lake, To Impact Traffic
Police officers will be on-hand during the projects to direct traffic.
AVON LAKE, OH — Crews working for Avon Lake Regional Water will be replacing waterlines on Jaycox and Lake roads starting Jan. 6. The work will disrupt traffic on both streets and police will be needed to direct drivers.
Starting Monday, Jan. 6, crews will begin the Jaycox Waterline Replacement Project. The work will happen between Walker Road and the railroad tracks, the regional water system said.
Work will begin on Jaycox near Walker Road and then move south. Police will be on-site directing traffic around the work area. Jaycox Road will be open to traffic, just reduced to one lane in the work area during working hours.

A spokesperson for Avon Lake Regional Water said the Jaycox Road waterline project will last until May, depending on weather.
Lake Road's waterline replacement work will also start during the week of Jan. 6. Crews will be operating between Miller Road and the area of Avondale Avenue. The project should take about two weeks.

During the week of Jan. 6, Avon Lake Regional Water said on Facebook, Avondale Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Crews will be working in and around the intersection of Lake Road Avondale.
Work on waterlines around Avondale began in mid-December, according to the Avon Lake Regional Water system.
Drivers can expect police officers to be on-hand directing traffic during the project.
