Beachwood Named 2nd Best Public High School In Ohio

BEACHWOOD, OH — Beachwood High is the second best public high school in Ohio, according to Niche.com. The Beachwood School District was also ranked in the top 50 districts in the U.S.

To create the rankings, Niche.com looked at more than 94,000 public schools and ranked them based on comments from current students, alumni and parents, test scores and academic performance, campus life, extracurricular activities, diversity, sports options, and special needs programs.

Beachwood received an overall A+ grade in the rankings. The report card for the high school broke down like this:

• Academics — A+
• Teachers — A+
• Clubs & Activities — A
• Diversity — A-
• College Prep — A+
• Health & Safety — A+

One recent graduate praised their alma mater for its thorough and rigorous academic curriculum. "Looking back on it now I don't know where I would be if I hadn't received the education I got during my time at Beachwood High School. Seeing other students in college classes not doing so well really made me appreciate the education I received and I just hope that the students there now are really soaking it all in and really appreciating the education they are getting," the student wrote.
