Beachwood Program Offers Free Assistance For Older Homes

Beachwood residents might be eligible for a senior discount of sorts for their house when they attend an informal presentation being held by the Heritage Home Program on Wednesday.

Residents with homes more than 50 years old qualify for free technical assistance to help plan and execute remodeling or maintenance projects. The program also offers a 2 percent fixed rate financing option for most projects.

Program staff will share information on local contractors, review estimates by them and provide free on-site consultation for construction projects. According to its website, the Heritage Home Program staff can assist on any project, including roofing, exterior painting or interior rehab.
