Care Packages Available For Financially Hurt Beachwood Residents
The city's "COVID Care Packages" program will provide residents with must-have goods.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Beachwood is now offering a free "COVID Care Package" to financially ailing residents.
“My administration and our City Council have shared concerns that COVID-related joblessness and health issues have pushed some residents to the brink,” said Mayor Martin Horwitz. “We are here to assist those in need of a helping hand during this difficult COVID winter."

- Hand sanitizer
- Surface-sanitizing wipes
- Soap
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Tissues
- Chicken Noodle soup
“We wish we could provide packages for everyone, but we must limit this to those in need,” said Community Services Director Derek Schroeder. “For those needing help now, we hope this provides not only tangible assistance but a good feeling that someone cares for their well-being.”

The care packages will be available for residents experiencing financial hardship due to the pandemic. Residents who have lost their job, struggling with increased childcare costs, or simply trying to make ends meet may qualify for the package.
Residents experiencing financial hardship may request a COVID Care Package for pick-up from Beachwood Community Services at 216-292-1970.
