End Of Cleveland Campaign For Jewish Needs Set

The Beachwood-based Jewish Federation of Cleveland said it expects more than $31,000,000 has been raised by the 2017 Campaign.

BEACHWOOD, OH — The grand finale of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's 2018 Campaign for Jewish Needs is quickly approaching. The organization will again throw its After Party Campaign Closing Celebration to commemorate the moment.

The event will be held Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Mandel JCC Stonehill Auditorium, 26001 S. Woodland Rd. THe event will honor the Jewish community's work raising funds throughout the season. During the party, the JFC will announce how much money was raised during the 2018 campaign. There will also be a Chanukah celebration with food, music and more.

“I look forward to celebrating the success of this year’s Campaign and the power of our community working together,” said David F. Adler, General Campaign Chair. “It has been an honor to lead this Campaign for the past two years, and meet the people and hear the stories of our dollars at work. What we do is inspiring.”

During the event, Barry Guttman of Beachwood will receive the Amb. Milton A. and Roslyn Z. Wolf Young Campaigner of the Year Award. The award goes to a young person that displayed leadership, dedication and hard work during the Campaign for Jewish Needs.

“The award is a tremendous honor, and it's inspiring to join an elite group of people who have made such a big difference in our community,” said Guttman. “I look forward to continuing to work with those people and everyone else who wants to join our efforts to make our community even greater than it is today.”

Each year, the Campaign for Jewish Needs raises money to help bolster the Jewish community in Cleveland and abroad. Last year the Campaign raised $31,172,731 from more than 10,000 donors. There was also a $500,000 match through the Double Your Impact Match program.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland said this year's total should exceed last year's amount. Approximately 91 cents of each dollar donated to the Campaign goes directly to the Jewish community.
