Mabel's BBQ Opening Suburban Location On Cleveland's East Side
Eton Chagrin Boulevard will welcome Michael Symon's BBQ restaurant this summer.

WOODMERE, OH — Michael Symon's Mabel's BBQ will open this summer in Eton Chagrin Boulevard.
The restaurant replaces the former B Spot Burgers, another Michael Symon creation. Mabel's offers authentic "Cleveland" BBQ and the Eton location will offer new features like the BBQ + Bourbon club environment.
"Our love of Eton and our partnership with Bob and Ezra Stark and the entire team runs deep, and we are thrilled to continue to grow together with them,” said Doug Petkovic, partner of Michael Symon Restaurants. “Our Mabel’s BBQ concept is ideal for the East side community, and we are excited to introduce the restaurant and all it has to offer this summer!”

Mabel's debuted with much fanfare on E. 4th Street in Cleveland. The restaurant offered a rustic smokehouse vibe with a vein of Cleveland pride pulsing through everything. The menu revolves around Symon's own barbecue sauce, made with Bertman's Ballpark Mustard and European spices and smoked meats. Menu items include brisket, pork, ribs and traditional side dishes and desserts.
Mabel's also has a full bar menu, complete with signature cocktails. The Eton location will mimic parts of the E. 4th restaurant, with arch ceilings, industrial lighting and exposed brick, meant to echo the West Side Market. The interior redesign will be led by Scott Richardson and architect Richard Lalli.

“Our 15 plus year partnership with Michael Symon Restaurants has been such a thrilling and fun journey, seeing fellow Cleveland born companies thriving and celebrating each other’s successes and working together,” said Lidia Richani, executive vice president of leasing for Stark Enterprises. “After seeing excitement and popularity around Mabel’s BBQ on East 4th Street, and being regular diners ourselves, we knew that evolving together meant introducing this creative concept to the East side of Cleveland. We are looking forward to the future ahead with Michael Symon Restaurants, it sure looks bright!”
B Spot Burgers at Eton closed May 2. The space will undergo the transition into Mabel's during the summer.
