If you're looking for something to do Christmas Day, the museum has you covered.

BEACHWOOD, OH - The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage is opening its doors to the public for several upcoming free, holiday-themed events. The museum will host a Hannukah lighting ceremony that will be open to all faiths.

First, on Christmas Day, there will be a screening of the Freedom Riders documentary. Attendees will be asked to donate whatever they can (canned good or cash). Attendees will also be able to check out the museum's newest exhibit, This Light of Ours: Activist Photographers of the Civil Rights Movement. You'll also be able to see The Temple-Tifereth Israel Gallery and An American Story. You can also create cards for new immigrants to Northeast Ohio. Guided tours will run at noon, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The documentary will be screened at 2 p.m.

On Dec. 28, the Friends of the Maltz Museum's Hannukah Candlelighting ceremony will be held. From 5 to 6 p.m., children from any faith will be invited to celebrate the Jewish festival of lights. There will be music, games, scavenger hunts, and the story of Hannukah.
