Matching Program Announced For 2021 Campaign For Jewish Needs
The Mandel Foundation will match new or increased gifts to the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's 2021 campaign.

BEACHWOOD, OH — A gift matching program has been announced for the 2021 Campaign for Jewish Needs.
The campaign is the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's largest annual fundraising campaign. For the 2021 endeavor, the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation has created a matching gift program.
“The needs of our community were great long before it was confronted with the coronavirus pandemic,” said Stephen Hoffman, chairman, the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation. “Through the Federation’s annual Campaign, Jewish Clevelanders help to ensure we are all able to live in an open, safe, and vibrant community – one that addresses near-term issues and thoughtfully plans for future needs.”

Through the matching program, every new or increased gift to the 2021 campaign will trigger a matching donation to the federation's Coronavirus Emergency Relief Fund from the Mandel Foundation.
The matching program is part of a $5 million donation to the relief fund, which provides aid for people who find themselves vulnerable due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“By creating this match, we are helping to ensure that the agencies and institutions that are so critical to meeting the needs of individuals and families throughout Jewish Cleveland are able to serve the community during this time of crisis,” added Jehuda Reinharz, the foundation’s president and CEO.
The 2021 campaign will begin Aug. 27, 2020 and continue through Dec. 9, 2020.
