Memorial Day In Beachwood 2017: U.S. Flag Installed

The city has placed a gigantic American flag on the lawn in front of City Hall on Richmond Road.

BEACHWOOD, OH — Memorial Day is quickly approaching. For most, that will mean a day off and time to reflect on those who have died in service of the nation.

In Beachwood, the city has installed a massive, 1,800 square foot American flag on the lawn of City Hall. The flag is a crucial part of the city's Memorial Day services. Mayor Merle Gorden invited residents to stop by City Hall to get a closer look at the flag and to take some time to pay honor to the servicemen and women that paid the ultimate price for freedom.

Additionally, there will be Catholic services held at cemeteries throughout Cuyahoga, Summit, and Lorain County. The list of cemeteries with Memorial Day services is below.
