Meth, Cocaine Shipped To Beachwood, Indictment Says

A new indictment says a Cleveland man mailed methamphetamines and cocaine were mailed to Beachwood as part of a drug ring.

CLEVELAND - A kilogram of meth and cocaine were shipped from California to Beachwood, according to an indictment filed this week against a Cleveland man.

Corey Brown, 29, has been indicted on one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. According to the indictment against him, the mailing of methamphetamine and cocaine took place in 2017.

Brown is accused of distributing 2,214 grams of methamphetamine and 1,974 grams of cocaine while working with Devon Williams, Marquacia DeShawn Morris and others between June and September 2017.

The indictment says Brown shipped parcels of narcotics through the U.S. Mail. Morris would accept the packages and then give them to Williams, who would transport them.

Williams, of Richmond Heights, is currently serving a 15 year sentence in federal prison. Morris, a former postal carrier who lived in Woodmere, is serving an eight year sentence.

The U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service investigated the case, with help from the Willoughby Hills Police Department.
