Saucy Brew Works To Open Pinecrest Location

The brewery is in the midst of an aggressive expansion throughout Ohio.

ORANGE VILLAGE, OH — Saucy Brew Works will open a new location in Pinecrest. The company expects to welcome customers in early April 2020.

The Pinecrest location will include a 142-seat taproom, a small brewing operation, 20 draft lines and a coffee house. There will be both indoor and outdoor seating. The brewery will not have a kitchen, but will offer light fare and the ability to order-in through outside vendors.

Saucy Brew Works is owned and operated by Brent Zimmerman and Eric Anderson. The company has locations in Ohio City and will open breweries in Detroit, Columbus and Independence.

"We are over-the-top excited to bring our fresh liquid to the East Side of Cleveland!” said Zimmerman, CEO and co-owner of Saucy Brew Works. “We felt as if we were neglecting our “east side” friends, which isn’t a nice thing to do. Pinecrest here we come, 20 fresh beers on tap daily!"

Saucy Brew Works coffee, called Saucy Coffee, will offer craft selections to customers. Coffee choices will include a single-origin house roast, pour overs, espresso and a specialty menu inspired by Saucy beers. The house roast will also be available for purchase in individual packages.

“Pinecrest is thrilled to welcome Saucy Brew Works to our award-winning district,” said Rob Clarke, general manager, Pinecrest. “This emerging brand quickly built a strong reputation for itself in Cleveland, and we believe it will be the perfect complement to our growing community of premier dining and entertainment destinations. Plus, the launch of Saucy’s new coffeehouse concept will be another first for our district and an exciting addition for many of our guests.”

Saucy Brew Works is in the midst of an aggressive expansion throughout Ohio and Michigan. The company plans to open three new restaurants by the end of 2021 and has partnered with Heidelberg Distributing Company.

The brand's expansion into Independence will include an event center and brewery across from Top Golf. Cuyahoga County recently recommended the company receive a $1.5 million economic development loan. Officials said the Independence project would create 60 jobs over 3 years.
