Scam Artist Rips Off University Heights Woman
Police believe this man scammed a woman out of money. Do you know who he is?
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH — A scam artist ripped off a University Heights woman using a phony check ploy. Now police are asking the public for help identifying and locating the suspect.
Police said the scammer sent his victim a fake check that was deposited into his victiom's account. He told the woman she could keep some of the money, but when the woman took out the money for the man, her account became overdrawn.
The suspect was caught on surveillance footage, which police have shared with the public. Anyone that can identify the man should contact University Heights police at 216-932-1800.

The man may be working with a woman that is helping him find his victims. Anyone with information on her should also contact investigators.
