Shooting At Beachwood Hotel: 1 Person Dead

BEACHWOOD, OH — One person is dead after a shooting in a Beachwood hotel parking lot, police announced.

Callers reported hearing gunshots at 11:45 a.m., according to WKYC. Police went to the Embassy Suites, where the shooting occurred, and found an unidentified man who had been shot in the parking lot.

The man was declared dead on the scene, police said.

Beachwood Schools briefly issued a shelter-in-place order, as a precaution, after the gunshots, Fox 8 reported.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations has been asked to assist with an investigation into the shooting.
