Shoplifters, Trespassers, Weed At Beachwood Mall On Black Friday

BEACHWOOD, OH — Beachwood Place Mall was a busy place on Black Friday. Police arrested several shoplifters, trespassers, and people carrying and selling marijuana. There was also a hit-and-run car accident in the parking lot.

Disorderly Conduct, Nov. 23 — Beachwood Place Mall was the sight of a disturbance on Black Friday, according to police reports. Officers were called to the food court to settle the issue down, and one man was cited for possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.

Shoplifting, Nov. 23 — About $320 of merchandise was stolen from Dillard's at about 2:40 p.m. on Black Friday. By 3:30 p.m., another $180 of merchandise was stolen form the store by shoplifters.

Possession of Marijuana, Nov. 23 — Police arrested a man for trespassing inside Beachwood Place Mall. The man had marijuana in his possession.

Shoplifting, Nov. 23 — Two people were caught shoplifting about $751 of merchandise from Dillard's.

Theft, Nov. 23 — Someone stole a piece of just-purchased clothing from a woman at Beachwood Place Mall.

Theft, Nov. 23 — Money was stolen from Detailz, a store at Beachwood Place Mall, at about 7:45 p.m. The thief, a woman, was identified and arrested. Another woman was arrested for obstructing official business during the investigation.

Trafficking in Drugs, Nov. 23 — Police took a man into custody for trafficking marijuana at Beachwood Place Mall, at about 9 p.m. The man was also charged with disorderly conduct.

Hit-and-Run, Nov. 23 — A parked SUV was struck in the parking lot of Beachwood Place Mall. The vehicle that hit it left the scene without leaving insurance information. The SUV was unoccupied at the time of the accident.
