Suspect In Beachwood Mall Shooting In Custody
Police have taken a 20-year-old into custody in connection with a shooting at Beachwood Place Mall.
BEACHWOOD, OH — Police have taken a suspect into custody for the shooting at Beachwood Place Mall on July 3.
Antonio Lamar Evans Jr, 20, of Shaker Heights, was taken into custody on Thursday in South Euclid, Cleveland 19 reported. Beachwood police were aided by South Euclid police in taking Evans into custody.
On July 3, Beachwood police announced there had been a shooting outside Saks Fifth Avenue at the mall.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the leg, News 5 reported. The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The victim and the shooter may have known each other, police said. The shooting was not believed to be random, but an isolated incident, police said.
